COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE:
Our client is well established engineering/manufacturing business and world leader in their field.
This role represents an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer. The successful candidate will ensure that supplier quality standards are met. You will also liaise closely with and support the senior quality engineer, and will act POC in their absence. Other aspects of the role include supporting the interpretation of customer quality requirements, and effectively communicating this to key stake holders.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensuring supplier quality standards are met
• Review and approval of supplier certification against specifications and standards
• Ensuring effective release of raw materials.
• Ensuring traceability and technical requirement are met
• Acting as POC for materials related queries
• Facilitates supplier root cause analysis and manages closure of corrective actions identified as a result of the supplier investigations
• Conducting supplier audits
• Effectively identifying areas of audit non-conformances and verifying the implementation of corrective actions.
• Engaging in customer concern investigations, to ensure identification of root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
ESSENTIAL
• Preferably qualified to HNC (or similar level) in a engineering or associated discipline
• Demonstrable experience gained within a Quality Engineer role
• Ability to understand technical documentation
• Experience of reviewing customer specifications and supplier certification
• Knowledge of metallurgy
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
• Working knowledge if root cause analysis and continuous improvement processes
• Demonstrable internal auditing experience
• Experience of supplier auditing
• Strong communication and team working skills
• Competent in MS office packagesDetails of Package: Up to £40,000 PA (Depending on experience) + Competitive Benefits
Average of 37 Hours per week over two weeks (Hours of work: 0700-1600 Monday to Thursday (Requirement to work Friday every 2nd week (0700-1300))
