KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise the execution of internal and external projects in digitalisation and automation
• Planning and technical implementation of production & testing machinery PLC retrofits, PLC programming for machine connectivity and PLC programming for machine connectivity (OT, fieldbus/PLC layer)
• Improving company digitisation network
• Further develop and improve process data acquisition
• Support our internal SME structure regarding digitalisation
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
• Degree or similar in an engineering discipline, or demonstrable experience gained on the back of a recognised apprenticeship or similar route
• Preferably experience with PLCs (Omron/ Siemens) HMI
• A good working knowledge of networking and databases (SQL)
• Strong time, organisational and project management skills with the ability to deliver to deadlines
• Effective team working skills, supporting the needs of colleagues whilst being able to work independently using initiative
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Lean tools and ways in which different departments can successfully use them
• MS Office tools, data analysis tools, document management systems
Details of Package: £40,000 to: £50,000 PA + Competitive Benefits, Including generous holiday entitlement and a competitive pension. Dayshift / Site Based / Monday to Friday (!pm Finish Friday) with some flexible working around daily core hours.
