- COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE:Our Client is one of the UK’s leading Rapid Prototyping & Engineering specialists, with a portfolio of blue chip clients in the automotive and other manufacturing sectors.They have invested heavily in people and technology and are now a £5.2m turnover business, well respected and very successful in their specialist field.They now wish to recruit an additional CNC Operator / Programmer to increase capacity in the Engineering area of their business, as part of a further phase of expansion.Candidates must have experience & knowledge in CNC Machining & programming, but further advanced training can be provided where necessaryKEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Program, set and operate Hurco and Haas CNC machining centres• Cam programming Using Delcam/Autodesk PowerMill• Operate manual mills and lathes when required• Machining of jigs and fixtures• Machining of mould tools in Modelboard and Aluminium (Not injection tools)• Machining components in a wide range of materials• Design experience preferred but not essential
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:• An ability to self-manage projects, and to work on own initiative and without close supervision• Planning and prioritising multiple work loads• An ability and commitment to complete projects on specified dates and to strict deadlines• Three years minimum Cam programming• Experience of Hurco and Haas machines is an advantage but not essential• Experience of 5 axis programming & machining preferred but not essential• Tool making experience is an advantage but not essential• Design experience preferred but not essential• Highly confident working in a fast paced engineering environment• Good time management• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and 5S
