COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE:
Our Client is well established global manufacturing business and world leader in their field.
This role represents an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Quality Technician
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring and recording product quality in accordance with standard operating procedures, highlighting and escalating relevant issues, and supporting local Quality lead across all relevant Quality topics, processes and requirements.
 
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspecting incoming materials to insure quality requirements have been met per acceptance activities, material specifications and certifications.
Measure and record product quality using visual, mechanical and optical gauging instruments and maintain equipment in calibrated condition
Investigate and segregate non-conforming materials from delivery, stock or customer return for review and disposition. 
Maintaining and monitoring supplier performance and quality, distributing NCMRs to relevant stakeholders and departments and highlighting trends
Using SAP system. Setting up and creating inspection lots, rules and checks for new products and release to next location upon completion
Supporting site Quality Lead in relevant tasks, functions and systems as defined by business and circumstance
Participating in relevant audit programs
Supports investigative, problem solving and Lean activities to assist identifying corrective and preventative actions.
Maintaining complete, legible and accurate records
Independently handling problems that arise within area of responsibility
 
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Essential:
Quality experience gained within an engineering/manufacturing environment 
The ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and familiarity with geometric tolerancing 
IT proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including, Outlook, Word and Excel
Excellent communication skills
