Our client is a world class, award winning, long established and growing UK grounded manufacturing business, with strong and sustained investment in people, capital and plant. As part of their expansion, they require an Analytical Chemist to complement their team. Initially the role is expected to last between 12 and 18 months and may lead to a permanent opportunity for the right person. Working within development, The successful candidate will liaise with manufacturing, technical and operational quality personnel on relevant aspects of compliance and analytical atypicality. You will have close contact with process managers, development chemists, and Manufacturing, Pilot Plant and Quality personnel. You will also have frequent contact with customers.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Perform analysis and report results in accordance with cGMP requirements for laboratory operations
· Investigate analytical deviations and out of specification results with appropriate rigour and to contribute to their root cause resolution
· Organise calibration and maintenance of analytical equipment
· Perform routine auditing of laboratory areas as required
· Carry out assigned SAP transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
· Perform technical transfers between internal and external customers.
· Support method validation programs.
· Support cGMP stability programs.
· To characterise reference materials for use in cGMP analysis.
· Develop, evaluate and prepare analytical methods and SOPs as required.
· Ensure cGMP/GLP complianceQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES: · Minimum honours degree in analytical science or similar
· Demonstrable experience
· Preferably Working knowledge of cGMP
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent laboratory skills
· Good knowledge of IT
