- COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE:Our Client is a well-established engineering/manufacturing business and a world leader in their field.This role represents an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Territory Sales Manager.Based within the North East, or home based another part of the country, the successful candidate will have responsibility for securing profitable sales and growing market share from a diverse range of customers within the assigned territory in line with division Strategy Deployment. This is achieved by ensuring customers distributors and agents are provided with outstanding levels of service and competitive solutions. Ensure client is viewed as a key market leader providing premier customer experience, winning technology and value for money.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Lead and direct sales activities for all company products in the assigned territory to achieve sales and DNE targets as details in Strategy Deployment• Ensure all quotations are followed up effectively and in timely manner• Ensure all required reports are submitted in timely manner, attend meetings and call as required• Work with inside sales to ensure robust customer databases• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, distributors and agents to identify and develop new market opportunities to be converted commercially• Ensure all market intelligence is captured and reported (includes competitor activity, new routes to market, specific project details, new product development, etc.)• Acquire and maintain strong knowledge of Aviation standards• Provide internal and external training as required to support team members and customers/distributors/agents; raise profile of company IPFE in the market.• To proactively feedback information from the field to the Product Managers to support marketing communications and product development activities• Ensure achievement of sales and DNE targets laid out in strategic territory plan• Maintain and develop direct relationships with customers in the territory• Develop new customers• Provide customer and distributor training• Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts• Provide support for the Division strategic plan to create market and product awareness• Provide timely technical support to end users to maintain the value proposition• Track end user new capital investment to ensure our solutions are specified• Ensure customers are provided with required service to ensure LTR of >60 when implemented
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:• Degree in engineering discipline (mechanical or chemical)• Fluent in English and other languages as required (French, Dutch, German or Spanish would be advantageous)• Experience selling solutions (consumables through to complex systems) into the relevant industry or other similar markets (refineries, etc.)• Knowledge of industry standards, would be an advantage• Previous experience of working at customer locations and proactive approach to personal safety and adherence to customer site regulations; may include working at height and in enclosed spaces• A high degree of self-motivation• Ability to work as part of a team as well as being a self-starter.• Confident and outgoing, patient and adaptable, diplomatic and assertive.• Fully computer literate• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility quickly• Able to build trust, value others, foster innovation, focus on delivery to customers, solve problems creatively and demonstrate a high level of integrity• Persuasive and able to influence• Resilient & results driven• Structure and well organisedNB: Significant travel is required to meet the requirements of the role (50% to 75%).
