- COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE:
Our Client is well established engineering/manufacturing business and world leader in their field.Reporting to the MD., This role represents an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Production/Capacity Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing capacity, reducing costs, and dispatching goods to plan.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Preparation, release and expediting of MRP production plan to schedule for on-time delivery of goods• Achieve allocated targets especially ensuring a minimum of 90% of spares orders and all capital machinery contracts are dispatched to plan• Explain and demonstrate stock control within the company and in particular ensure controls are set up for Spares Stock, Min Stock, and Long Lead Time Stock• Develop outsourcing via Company RAK unit and other overseas providers• Maintain Stock to ensure average lead times are maintained• Manage allocated employees and be responsible for all Health and Safety requirements• Ensure comprehensive training plan is in place. Within this ensure as much cross function training as possible is undertaken to increase flexibility and capacity• Ensure shop floor appearance is maintained to the highest standard
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:• Engineering manufacturing background with experience of overseas outsourcing• A proven and consistent track record of delivery especially in relation to quality and delivery targets• Robust individual with significant experience of managing teams• Extensive experience of MRP production planning• Proven history of ensuring required capacity is available by utilising both internal resources and appropriate outsourcing routes• Experience of producing and implementing outsourcing plans• History of stock control• History of innovation resulting in reduced costs but greater efficiency• Strongly committed to achieving personal and Company objectives• Good communicator at all levels
