- COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE:We’re seeking to recruit an experienced IT Support Co-ordinator for our award winning, world leading Manufacturing client, based in North Tyneside.Working as part of a dedicated level infrastructure team, which maintains all IT systems including servers, PCs, and networks throughout the company, the successful candidate will be involved in supporting end users/employees where necessary, maintaining daily backups and basic server administration, as well as configuring systems, fault diagnosis and rectification.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot XP, Vista, Windows 7 and 10 Microsoft Office 2013 and any other authorised desktop applications• Provide support and training for PC workstations and applications; Microsoft Office, ERP system, Smart HMI etc.• Provide support for all electronic equipment; Telephone System, Photocopiers, and printers, Projectors etc. and peripherals.• Ensure effective integration of hardware and software systems.• Diagnose/rectify application and networking issues• Working partly in a production environment with production line workstations.• Key involvement in the co-ordination of technical projects such as rollouts, implementation of new systems and upgrades.• Maintain daily backups and server administration, as well as configuring systems, fault diagnosis and rectification.• Ensure Scheduled maintenance/updates are carried out in a timely manner.• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot printers, computer hardware and any other authorised peripheral equipment and performs remedial repairs if required.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:Essential:• IT Qualification• Demonstrable experience gained in a similar IT Support role• Strong organizational & Interpersonal, team working / building skills• Flexible and willing to learn new technologiesDesirable:• IT Degree• MS related Qualification• ITIL training/qualification
